Royal Huisman’s Sea Eagle II emerged from the shed yesterday. The three-masted schooner was revealed at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show and constuction started June 2017. The all-aluminium Sea Eagle II, the largest aluminium sailing yacht in the World, came from the drawing boards of Dykstra Naval Architects & Mark Whiteley Design with naval architecture by Dykstra Naval Architects. With its hull length of 81m/ 266ft, Sea Eagle II is 2m/ 6’7” longer as Royal Huisman’s previous longest yacht Athena and contains 50GT more volume. Sea Eagle II is able to accommodate 12 guests and 13 crew. After her three 60m/ 196’1” carbon fibre masts are stepped at the end of January and successful sea trials, the yacht is expected to be delivered to Royal Huisman’s returning Taiwanese customer at the end of April.
