Brand New Air Awning by Royal Loxley .
Hi all,
Today I am doing a quick demo and erecting the Royal Loxley Air 390 Awning that was purchased for our Swift Celebrate Quattro EB Caravan.
The Royal Loxley Air 390 Awning comes with:
• Flysheet with sewn in air poles
• 2 small fibreglass poles for window canopy
• 6 alloy tension poles
• 2 rear poles
• Bag of metal pegs
INFLATION:
To set up the awning:
1. Unroll and lay the awning out in the required location 250
2. Slide the awning beading into the channel on the caravan making sure it
is centred on the horizontal section.
3. Locate the inflation/deflation valves; ensure the outer ring is secured
tightly into the air pole.
4. Unscrew the top cap and insert the pump nozzle and start to pump.
The ideal pressure is between 9 and 11 psi but the supplied pump will
not allow over inflation.
5. As the awning inflates it will start to take shape. It may be necessary to
help by lifting the poles up. Please take care not to tread on or damage
the fly sheet.
6. Once the awning is up it may be necessary to add a few more pumps
until the air poles feel hard.
7. Remove the pump from the valve and tighten the screw cover. Double
check that both the outer screw and top cap are tight to help prevent
leakage.
8. Assemble the 2 rear poles and go inside the awning and insert the flat
end into the pocket at the top rear corner and the bottom spike into
ground and tension. Repeat on both sides.
9. Ensure all doors are fully closed and then position the four corner pegs
to ensure the awning is correctly tensioned.
10. Go inside the awning and fit the six alloy tension poles, they slot
together and then locate between the air poles. Do not over tension
11. Re-peg the corners closest to the caravan making sure the awning wall
is pegged slightly underneath the van.
12. Continue with all pegging, ensure that the sides and rear of the awning
form straight lines and the webbing straps are not tangled.
13. Insert the fibre glass poles into the appropriate locations above the windows and take care when securing the ends into the specific pole cups.
14. Peg out all guy lines at 45 degree angles from the tent.
DEFLATION:
To pack away the awning:
1. Remove all alloy tension poles and rear poles from inside the awning.
2. Unroll all doors, windows and curtains, secure these closed.
3. Un hook all guy lines store in provided locations
4. Remove all pegs except for the four corners
5. Open the inflation/deflation valves SLOWLY on each air pole and allow
the majority of the air within to escape before removing completely.
6. Remove remaining pegs from the corners.
7. Slide the awning out of the caravan rail taking care to avoid snagging the
flysheet.
8. Fold or roll the awning towards the deflation valves this will help
remaining air to escape.
9. Ensure the awning is 100% dry before packing in the supplied bag and
storing in a cool dry location.
10. It is very important that if the awning is packed away wet that it is
unpacked and dried at the earliest opportunity.
IN THE EVENT OF A PUNCTURE:
1. Check each air pole for reduced pressure.
2. Check all valves are tight and not leaking.
3. If all valves and connections are correct then there may be a puncture in
one of the air poles.
4. It is possible to remove an air pole when the tent is inflated or deflated,
simply release all the air from the affected air pole. Unzip the sleeve that
contains that air bladder.
5. Unzip the protective cover and remove the inflatable bladder.
6. Locate the puncture, it may be necessary to add some air or immerse in
water to help locate. This can then be repaired using purpose made tape
7. Re-assemble the air pole, place back in the zip sleeve and re-secure the
outer ring on the inflation valve before inflating.
