so, about the zip22.. It wasnt just that people didnt like it so they stopped making it, the gun was so poorly built that it nearly bankrupt the company trying to get it to work. Also, it was incredibly dangerous to handle and operate... Having to charge the gun by fiddling with the levers near the barrel of the loaded gun was just stupid and a lost finger waiting to happen.

Bows and crossbows at normal hunting distances (up to 100 yards) definitely require a LOT more work to get good with compared to rifles, even comparing optics (none, red dot, or magnified scope). In a lot of states, they allow single shot rifles to be used in "primitive" weapon seasons, which used to only be archery and blackpowder. If you're going to let a person use a centerfire rifle, you might as well allow a crossbow.

Regarding the Browning Buck, pistol carbines are super popular in the US for recreational shooting because it allows us to use really cheap ammo at better range and in rifle drills. Ammo price fluctuates a lot, but being able to use 9mm or .22 in a cheap gun or modified pistol is a huge selling point and great way to practice. The alternative would be to buy a high accuracy smg like the mp5, but they're way more expensive.

The P320 can be switched between 9mm, .40S&W, and .357SIG. I know they'll do .45ACP, too, but I think that you have to have a different firearm body altogether. Sig's caliber xchange kits are quite expensive, though. Comes with barrel, mag, and slide. I feel like I'm leaving one caliber out... either way that's a nice selection of rounds. Love the new modular firearms.

Longbow is Welsh. And crossbows/shortbows have their own cultural relevance.
@OriginalHuman
4 ай бұрын
Correct! It was founded in wales and adopted by the English who dominated with it during the 100 year war. Although the longbow in general had been used for thousands of years. I actually don’t know much about the history of crossbows so I should look into it!
@flyboymike111357

@@OriginalHuman With respect, the bow was an effective weapon that did allow the English and Welsh to dominate certain battles, but neither the English or the long bow dominated the war. Intensive logistics and the physical wear and tear on the bowman were major drawbacks to using the longbow in campaign according to period sources. Additionally early guns, pavise sheils, and barrier ranks of men with decent armor in the front of a formation could counter the advantage of even bringing bowen. Meaning all the resources spent on a large mass of bowmen reduced the number of Frontline infantrymen the Anglo-welsh forces could bring into battle. Ultimately, the English and Welsh lost the 100 years war to the French and Scotts. Sturring the English and Welsh to adapt their way of fighting wars.

The Gyro Jet pistol and rifles appeared in the James Bond film, You Only Live Twice. Bond carried a smaller launcher disguised as a cigarette. The second Swiss gun they showed was a Steyr TMP. It can be purchased as a stand alone pistol, or it can be kitted up with a fore grip and stock. They're nothing new or really that special. They've been around sine 1989.

@timmooney7528

@@Sir-WMW The stock additions for the Glock are reminiscent of the Luger holsters which could act as stock. Another thing to look at is the Micro Roni. It's a chassis kit made for several brand pistols to convert them into carbines. Some countries do not allow their police to carry rifles or submachine guns, but allow the Micro Roni chassis (which pretty much has the same effect)

Most states in the US have minimum caliber restrictions for game hunting. A 9mm Parabellum would not meet the requirements. No elk hunter would even consider that. As for hunting with an English longbow, that would be rather impractical for most hunters. The heavy draw weights would take a great deal of training to become proficient. Bow hunters would find modern compound bows to be more practical for use in the field.
@OriginalOwner777

The crossbow could currently be bought in the UK but you will have to hurry as the government is considering putting limits on crossbows. As to semi automatic rifles if you get a gunsafe and a firearms certificate you could have a semi automatic rifle but only in .22 rimfire caliber. So designed for rabbits/gray squirells ect yet you would likely have to be a member of a gun club with a range to be approved for a semi automatic rifle.

Sako is a fantastic weapon but over priced for what you get. I also am not a fan of bolt guns. My favorite rifle was one i tested before getting out of the military. The LWRC Reaper in 308, patrol with the 18 inch upper, got to do some long distance work trade out the upper for the 22 or 24 inch with big boy scope, seconds to swap. My next long gun is gonna be an Aero Precision 30/06 or 338 lapua. Love a semi auto long gun.

Gimmick guns!😆 Buckmarks were extremely accurate, and made/used strictly for target shooting, competitions, and small game hunting, though owner's can naturally use them anytime they want. Why use a large, high caliber, rifle if you're going to hunt rabbits, squirrels or doves (squab)? You're not a hunter I gather.😄 I'd rather have my squab without having to remove 410 shot from what little meat is already on them.😆 I've actually eaten gray-squirrel and rabbit shot by my grandfather with his 22 rifle.😉 (How's the lamb? Not bah-ah-ah-ad.😆) 8:18 That particular model of the Russian AGS-30 must be the one they use in the May Day parades because it doesn't look anything like the models seen in use by the Russians in the Ukraine War videos I've been seeing. No doubt following their AGS-17 and copying from the US Mk-18 (hand-cranked) grenade launcher developed in 1962/63, showing how effective the Soviets found the American version to be. The US Mk-19 (automatic) is a much better, more effective version. All are devastating weapons though. The Ruger Mini-14 was a highly popular model with law enforcement and the public for a while back in the day, chambered either for .223 or 5.56x45 NATO. I don't recall if I ever fired one but I probably have. I've fired a Heckler & Koch MP5 and a Colt-M4 in both semi-automatic and automatic settings. I can't recall half of the firearms I have fired. I did fire a Mauser Kar98k, a Springfield M1903, an M1911 A1, a Browning High-power, a CZ-75 and quite a few other firearms, not to mention the ones I was authorized to carry. My brother-in-law is a gun collector. 13:50 That Swiss B&T TP9 reminds somewhat of the Mac-10, don't you think, I mean outwardly? Peace to you.🕊
