Two different sized royal ponds are located to the north of the Phimeanakas. The larger one is said to be used for only women is some 140 metres long and fitted with laterite steps. Its walls contain beautiful sculptures of creatures, like men and women with Naga heads and Garuda heads, Naga and Garuda, kings and princesses with wings, animals with human head, fish, crabs, eagles and several sea monsters. The smaller pond may have been used by men.
Open Hours: opening at 7.00 AM and closing at 5.30 PM.
