If you told me a year ago "There's a second royale flexpai and it's not a rushed 'first to market' trash prototype", I would have laughed in your face. Really neat to see them produce something that seems feasible to use and buy, and a somewhat polished final product.

You simply aren't aware of what happened with the duo at all. The Duo was designed from the start to run windows light which never came to be (it will only come out next year) and only last year did they pivot to android. So there literally only had a year to make android behave on the duo. Considering how well it already is after the first beta update it should be fine after one or two more updates (which they will have monthly). Don't get me wrong I'm impresses the the royal plex but the duo is a much higher quality device and it is much useful for productivity.

Mate Xs user here. Dropped the phone several times already and bumped it even. Only had the default exosceleton it comes with attached to it. It is not a goner. Still works like on the first day. The pastic screen has the benefit of cushoning the fall and not breaking like glass so easily. So don't brush off the Mate Xs or Royole approach. The display might be more exposed. But it is not as fragile in day to day usage as some might think. P.S: I don't miss the Google Play Services and am watching this video with KZitem Vanced

The first one was the definition of "prototype that they were still working on but then were caught by surprise by Samsung and Huawei and rushed the release of the prototype" so I'm definitely surprised seeing this and seeing that they are sticking to this same form factor. Instead of being a phone that folds out into a mini tablet it's definitely the form factor of an actual tablet that folds to make it slightly more portable. EDIT: Honestly that price makes it sorta worthwhile, as it's basically the same price as a much smaller phone like the Flip, but instead you get a full sized tablet.

I am getting the Flexpai 2 today as I am a sucker for these foldables. If Royole have refined this it should be good.
