Thanks! Don,t know if you're still here in 2024 but will this work with rotaries?

No it does not. For rotaries you have to set bands and put a keycommand per band = 0% - 33& = A // 33% - 66% = B // 66% - 100% = C as an example. I tried the latching but the softwate is very wonky and the test fails hard. A - S - D were S is the middle state. In test when i press A and return it, it does not sent S. And when i press D, the test sends S...weird. Tried it in DCS but it does not work

I can't really able to tell the difference. If a switch for example: Off (F) Armed (A) On (N) You mean I can use the SW 1 to choose them in 3 ways? Then how do I select A key again? Thank you.

I'm confused... isn't the "pinky" switch on the stick?
@Laobi

Thank you sir! The pinky is on the stick, unless I was talking about that 2 way button on the left throttle and called it a pinky as I used my pinky to operate it.

When I enable latch on lets say "SW 1" while being in Mode 1, then latched will also be enabled on "Sw 1" while being in Mode 2 and Mode 3. Is there no way around this?

hey dude came across your video about latching wondering if your still around and using it. I have an x56 and it uses the same program as you may be aware. Dont expect a troubleshooter session but if you have the time and knowledge can you help me with something.. Im in DCS world with an F15 and Mode 1 is set as my Navigation, and Mode 2 is my Combat switches. I have used a latched switch in Mode 1 on switch 4 downward press, basically while in cockpit view i press down switch 4 and the world map opens (and stays till i down press again where it goes back to cockpit view). In Mode 2, the switch 4 downward is set for "reset/silence audible alarm". However, when i have latched switch 4 downward, it is now latched across all the modes. But i dont want it to be, (well i might latch switch 1 upward in mode 3 i dont know). But because it latches across each mode this causes problems ie when i use mode 2 switch 4 the key repeats over and over (im not even sure why, its just headache right through). Are you aware of this, is there a workaround you know of, is it a software bug maybe, i cant see why anyone would want it latched right across. It does have some other side effects but this is long enough already. I know i can turn latched off and use switch 3 and 4, but that isnt latching and thats why i watched the video. No probs if your done with this, was a longgggggg time ago.

Thank you sir! It's been a while, but I remember this quite well. It should definitely perform different tasks in different modes. I actually had this issue before too, I think in the end I resolved it, by disconnecting everything, removing the software and drivers. I then restarted, ran a reg cleaner (ccleaner, I think), re-started, re-installed the drivers and reconnected the USBs. From what I remember that worked, but it was a bit of a pain. I hope this helps.

@@Laobi Thx for reply dude. In the end i stopped using the latching on the bottom row of buttons it really was too much trouble - OK if you latch on and off but if left in latch it messed a lot of the other controls - i only have the joystick ministick latched for press now and this only snap view holds till i release it - this sometimes jams up the zoom function if i leave it on though - when i get my track ir i likely wont need this snap view, as i can look and hold all day both zoomed and unzoomed. Just a pity STT software works like this as the down press to map then press again to cockpit view was really useful. But with the key repeating in the background i had to turn it off - I have dual monitors and if i left something latched and went to the second monitor say for youtube and such it would open a hundred tabs in google chrome and literally lock up the comp. What i have gained from finding a work around has really helped me with all the other stuff STT can do though. So at least thanks for piqueing my interest in modes and latching.

Ok so had another play - ended up installing win 2004 update too - no change to what latching does and its side affects but again learnt some more tricks - what i needed for the map view was not latching just a hold release setup so that is fixed - also added press hold release to ext view - so these are one button and off rather than button here then one button over there - nothing is latched now gonna play with this arrangement see if it works - and as long as im not holding F1 when i click to my second monitor Chrome doesn't go crazy - again many thx for getting me going on this - everything is getting sweeter
