How many km for sg side compared to jb
@SGYap
6 күн бұрын
Total length is about 4km, majority of the viaduct is at the jb side, I don't have the exact length at sg side

i just got back from Singapore for my Muharram holidays and I have to tell you that the progress at the jb marine viaduct really progresses fast! it was going to be 8 complete spans when I went to woodlands waterfront park and walked along the promenade towards the causeway there.
@SGYap

Hope you have a good holiday in Singapore! The first 4 spans at marine viaduct are the longer spans, the 5th spans onwards are shorter spans and hence less time is needed to hoist the SGB into positions.

Next year ETS train will be set ready by next year from JB Sentral to Gemas...the train journey from JB Sentral to KL Sentral will expected around 3 hours and 30 minutes. Which means we can take ETS train all the way to Padang Besar near Malaysia -Thailand border from JB

What happened to the precast yard clip? Why did you remove and re-upload? Did you post something you were not supposed to?
@SGYap
6 күн бұрын
What happened was that I was invited by key contractors working on the RTS Link project to help document some of the processes and whatever I post will also need to be approved by them in which the precast yard clip was given the greenlight to post after their vetting. However It was later one of the big boss at the top felt filming done within the construction sites should not be posted, hence I volunteered to take down the post.

Your opening ‘glide’ could continue with a drone fly. They don’t object drones, right ? During Bandung HSR construction, there were a dozen drones, which I called ‘airforce1’. They were very enthusiastic with the project.

I wonder what’s going to happen once RTS is completed. A spike in small biz closures in Sg and a rise in inflation in JB?
@SGYap
6 күн бұрын
Possible a softening of the rental market in sg as many may choose to commute daily, work in sg but stay in jb

Woodlands waterfront is at the edge of a no-fly zone so technically can fly.
@SGYap
6 күн бұрын
That is certainly a very good idea, can imagine the effect of reaching the end of the jetty and followed by flying towards the marine viaduct

@@SGYap come January/February when it is cold in Vegas, will be our next Asian trip. I will most likely cover the project from JB/Woodlands. KL is another good place with its high rises. Vegas is very hot now, ~48° C. Today

@@marktan3668 oh dear, 48° C is very hot, this year many cities in northern hemisphere are experiencing hotter than usual temperature and summer also comes earlier too
