Dancers are: Emanuela Montanari and Claudio Coviello. They would deserve at least a correction.

For anyone who is interested...My mother studied with Mikhail Fokine and was in his company. Her close friend Annabelle Lyon was called upon by Mikhail Baryshnikov to teach him the original choreography of La Spectre de la Rose. I have many old ballet books if anyone is interested and lives near Los Angeles.

I can see that Manuel Legris is maitre de ballet in this version, he was the best spectre de la rose to me ..... this dancer is not bad but he lacks magic, lightness and suavity ! the stage set and lightings could be better also to bring the vibes !

What is this supposed to be, a tribute to Nureyev?? You list the dancers as *Martina Arduino and Federico Fresi* in the description....shouldn’t their names be in the title, instead of Nureyev’s?? Very confusing.

Yeah, No! Somebody in France or America or Russia educate the Florentine trust fund millennials. THIS AIN'T NUREYEV! Coviello is pretty, charming in an obvious way, but . . . Nureyev is profound, otherworldly, an anthropomorphized rose - beautiful, sensuous, alluring but dangerous. There's no confusion of dancers, and no comparison. Hey! Dali painted the Mona Lisa, right?! I've got a bridge I can sell you . . .

Claudio Coviello has really improved in this role. There's an earlier video from about 6 years ago of Coviello dancing this not very well. Here, his dancing is poised, secured and confident, and his footwork is precise. Excellent. I wish we had the entire video.

@@alicenelson8615 no problem, with the costume it is easy to make a mistake ! Nureyev was a little bit thiner, I think, but they have similar face ! if you like this ballet "le Spectre de la Rose" you should look on KZitem at the version from Opéra de Paris with Manuel Legris, it is a perfection ...

I really do think I appreciate the backside of a man because when I was growing up and I’m 63. That was the closest to being nude outside of sports. But dance is a sport (sort of).
