...I would be curious to know how many times a defender has STOPPED a ball carrier in the 1v1 of this league? Coming at full force with the full field seems pretty unstopable to me. To anyone who is a little confused about the decider/shootout, a team gets a point if they score or a point if they stop the other team scoring, first to three points wins. Therefore USA and England had an equal opportunity to take the win. There is arguably an advantage going first as it seems to be easier to score than to defend, this will probably be settled upon in future games. A traditional sudden death style decider would probably be fairer but rugby X isn’t trying to be traditional, it’s emphasis is on fast pace creative rugby.

@GamingForGoodCauses

Firstly, I didn't say this was fair method, I was clarifying the rules for people who weren't sure why England won. Secondly, attacking is not necessarily an advantage, it depends on the size of the pitch, type of surface etc. In this instance, yes attacking is probably easier and the system should be reworked

I’ve lost interest in watching organised sports because when I watch England play I don’t see English players. There are most certainly players I honour as English that don’t have English parents but the UK has gone crazy and handed out UK citizenship like it was confetti. I don’t honour the vast majority of immigrant UK citizens as British. There’s just no way we can absorb that many people in such a short space of time and just say: “Yeah, you’re all English/British now”. It doesn’t work like that.
