I have also purchased Harbor Freight 18v NiCad tool batteries, removed the individual cells (18650s, I think) and replaced the cells in the Black and Decker battery with those from the HF. It was easy and worked great. You may need to solder a couple of the connectors between the cells. The HF batteries were real inexpensive.

The HFT cells are a great match for that housing. There's another KZitemr who has that swap video also

Not sure but that may have fried my brushes. Mostly though I believe they just wore out from use. I got my adapter off eBay.

Yes the 3D printer cut adapter I bought from eBay has no physical restriction preventing the installation of larger batteries. Also the one I bought had straight pass-through conductors with no resistor or discharge limiting device whatsoever, so it could potentially cause issues with the batteries as well

I've been wanting to build an adapter like this but wasn't sure it would work. I haven't been able to find a 3D printed adapter online, that fits a Band D tool with a Dewalt battery.

@@supporterofeverythingyouli6255 post a link if you can find one. Nothing out there will take a Dewalt 20 volt and plug into a Black and Decker 18 volt.

You can buy a kit on eBay for $35.

Is there any already in the market. I want to use my dewalt 20V batteries in the firestorm black & decker 18 volts

Great concept but the tool has no protection like the dewalt 20v tools and could damage the battery
