Hard to imagine having a $400k machine you just turn over to folks who "drive em like they stole em" (to quote you) until it breaks down in the field and they just leave it until the middle of winter when it suddenly dawns on them they might need it again someday. It will likely cost them more to fix that machine than it would to pay a competent operator for a year. Who can run an operation that way and make money at it? Kudos to you for doing the hard thing in miserable conditions. Again and again and again. There should be a "stupid" fee attached to these kinds of calls to make it worth the time and aggravation.

Another Great Video, Warren. It looks like they ran that front idler without oil for a while. Working in the middle of a muddy field brings back some memories. The company I worked for had an old 2 wheel drive Chevy C20. No crane, air compressor or much of anything. I had to get a Combine running to pull out the truck, that sank in the mud. Your truck seems to do decent in snow and mud. Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge.

Getting stuck is one thing I'm good at! Dad said, "if you don't have four wheel drive, you won't go into four wheel drive territory"; I would say, "no, you just get stuck!" Up here in Montana, two wheel drive trucks are worthless!! Good way to make a hole; jack the truck on the dirt!

I had to transport a Challenger from Atlanta to the middle of nowhere in South Dakota. The axle extrusion was the only thing wider than the trailer so I had to permit for oversize. When I arrived, Immigration was raiding the farm I was supposed to deliver to. After they left, there was nobody to sign for the load so the company said to record it as "load refused" and bring it back to Atlanta. "Win a few, lose a few, and a few get rained out" Satchel Paige

Get yourself a couple plastic pallets, the anheuser busch plastic pallets work really good for supporting heavy objects on soft surfaces. My local liquor store gave me a few they had laying around that were never picked up. A few of them stacked up under the front of that tractor would have no problems supporting the weight. My friend uses them for the outriggers on his 40 ton crane without a problem.
