It might perfectly be that some places can actually be somewhat dangerous for a native japanese and not for a westerner, but after 3 months in Tokyo, I really felt as if it was tons “safer” than western cities. Never had any real problem apart from maybe 1 case of racism, and that wasn’t much of a deal either. I passed through Shinjuku a lot of times (which is perceived as a dangerous place) and Ikebukuro… well… I just visited it once or so and not much more because it felt like a boring place to me. Some activities or ways of life like the ones seen in the video can be dangerous or unpleasant for the girl. But that has more to do with what she’s doing instead of the place itself.
@elgolfo6289
2 жыл бұрын
Well, logically for those who live in Madrid and know their night, their definition of danger is not the same as that of a Japanese. Imagine it in the Cañada Real, las Barranquillas, El pozo del Huevo, etc etc. When I was in Holland years ago I met a Moor who said that Madrid was much more dangerous than Amsterdam, he said that in Amsterdam they only beat you and in Madrid "PUM PUM", although of all life we are more of Navajas. Aunque por edad (43) soy más mayorcete que tú, aprovecho para mandarte un saludo.
@ncx8049

Ikebukuro isn't that boring. There's just more stuff in Shinjuku, but that also attracts more crowds than Ikebukuro. Because of that, I avoid Shinjuku whenever possible. Last year it was consistently the place with the most active cases of corona virus. And it's never the place that's dangerous, it's the people that hang around there, or animals if you're out in a forest or something.

You should go further than this. She had NO IDEA that she could ask for help, that there are places that will receive her. If you want to continue helping, you may get in touch with those institutions and get directly involved. Point them on the right direction. And give girls pamphlets about those institutions. As a side note, I really love Japan and how those are the "dangerous places". Living in Southamerica, there are places here that you won't go back from in a piece (if, at all), GUARANTEED. People steal anything that is not firmly bolted to the ground. This is an awful place to live.

*DO NOT compare HIGEHIRO to this one. This man told the girl the details of the world she's trying to get into, and then helped her about the places that can offer help like having jobs and place to live. DO NOT BRING THEM HOME, especially if they are minors. There are places out there that can help such people. Higehiro even promotes grooming which is very improper.* Edit: Higehiro showcases ill-considered decisions. It's absurd how people even praises the main guy just for being the 'Chad'. The story disregards the law, appropriate procedures of the system, and byproducts of their decisions. There's so many issue to tackle, from housing a minor, to being a pseudo-guardian, and for it being a romance in that way, everything is just not proper, psychologically and constitutionally for the most part. If you want to help, do it wisely. Do not aid the byproduct but help by giving a hand to the root of the problem. Show her the way that will result to a good long term result.
