"Runners Core Exercise. Core Stability is vital to running performance- helping to improve form and reduce injury risk.. The Superman is a great way to strengthen lower back and glutes. You don't need any equipment to perform this exercise.
1. Lay face down on a mat or flat surface, with arms outstretched.
2. Keep your hands and arms straight throughout the exercise.
3. Raise your hand and legs 4-5 inches off the ground.
4. Hold for 2-3 seconds, then return to starting position.
5. Repeat.
