@@richgreene7043 that’s one of my favorite videos to shoot. I like the GP7, it’s my favorite. The Alco is close, though! I need to get to work and finish the scenery in the yard and install the light valance. Been a busy summer so far! Have a great weekend and stay safe!

Hi Thom, Good Saturday Morning to you. Yes I have ankle and knee pain as well, it's off and on. Sadly x-rays have confirmed it's Arthritis. Not bad enough for any type of surgery, but does make walking some days difficult. Those B&O Wagontop cabooses were unique, I use to see them from time to time on the Pittsburgh & Western heading thought Evan's City, PA back in the Chessie System era. I borrowed your idea for outbound Long Valley cars on my Long Valley Branch, with a change. Instead of leaving the cars on the main track West of town, I leave the cars on the passing siding. The branch crew couples into the cars on the passing siding and pushes them West, leaving the inbound cars and the caboose on the passing siding. Once clear of the West end passing siding switch, they begin their trip back East to the Midland yard, first picking up their caboose before returning to the yard. I don't have any through trains on my Long Valley Branch, but leaving the main track clear would give that impression. Thank You Thom on the JMRI information, it is helpful in helping to setup JMRI for my Long Valley Branch. I've done the same thing Thom, you are focused on the train and miss other objects that the camera see 🙂 I guess you can say it's some sort of odd eclipse going on over Chillicothe 😊 Very nice get together Thom, glad you all had a good time. Take Care and Stay Safe as well. Cheers, Rich S.

@@RWSBaden good morning! The only train south of Oak Hill on my modeled portion would be the DT&I running on trackage rights and the operator at Black Fork Junction would hold them there if Oak Hill was as tied up. There were actually 2 customers left south of Oak Hill but I couldn’t model them. I’m not having much trouble walking yet. It actually hurts worse with no pressure on it. Hopefully they can tell me what it is. Thanks for the comments about JMRI, glad I could be of some help. I’ll be talking more about it in the near future. Have a great weekend and stay safe!

Good morning Thom. I dropped your name and a link to your youtube channel a couple of days ago on MRH in a discussion about getting folks to start basic operations instead of or along with just running around a loop. First Steps in Operation: From Round and Round to Back and Forth. I have been experimenting with adding scenery material. Way out of practice doing that. We got a bit of rain last week and hopefully will be getting more this weekend and maybe next week.

@@jackheninger5471 good morning! I actually have been working on a short video about how my railroad is set up in JMRI in response to a question. Will probably work on it some this week. I wrote 2 articles for N scale magazine about 2 years ago about my layout. This was before the yard expansion. They have been sitting on them so I asked them a couple of weeks ago if they were going to use them. If not, I was going to submit them to MRH. They told me that they would be used, so I’m waiting patiently. Thanks for the mention. We’ve had a few good rains here to keep the grass alive. I’ve watered some, but hopefully won’t have to do that much. Have a great weekend and stay safe, Jack!
