Thanks for such a clear and concise explanation. It helped me follow along with your presentation and finally master this important query. I notice that you have an Access Intermediate playlist. I'd classify myself as an Intermediate user, I'm wanting to move to an Advanced level, I'm sure your playlist will help me along the way. I'd love to encourage you to produce more content. You are a very good presenter and you understand the intricacies of Access so well. Thanks again, I hope I can work through the 27 videos in your Access playlist. All the best. By the way, I have subscribed to your channel.

Awesome. Works great. How do I format for currency that is sometimes small than 1,000. With your example if the running total is $894.87 it appears as $0,894.87? Thanks in advance.

Used Formatcurrency instead of format and then the number of decimal places at the end. The expression build would instead read: Runtot:FormatCurrency(DSum("freight","orders","employeeid

Emplyee id come from oders table which have text mean string but in emplyee id in emplyee table there is number . And in query string showing but you are using id numerically but in query the emplyee id in string... confusing

The EmployeeID is really a number field (number data type). It appears as a "text" field because the EmployeeID is being used to lookup and display a value (employee name) from another table. These videos are from an intermediate playlist.
