Oh thanks! Awesome you were there too; isn't it such a great race? Absolutely my favorite currently. The organizers, the community vibe, the course (even if it isn't fast,) all of it is just super fun to me. Tell you though, as much as everyone talks about the uphills, those downhills just destroy me. I'm not good at going downhill and I get absolutely walked by everyone, seems like. Good job!

Being from and living in VA I have to do this! We have similar backgrounds, I was a sprinter, but distance was not my thing. I started doing ultras 6 years ago and I fell in love. I have been running for about 14 years, starting with 5k, 10k halfs and marathons...I am much better built for the fast distances, but my love is in ultras! I have also been a content creator going on 6 years now!

Sorry I totally missed this comment! My bad. That's awesome; I've watched your vids before too, good stuff. You definitely have to do it! Shame it had to be cancelled this year, but I support their decision to do it. And yeah, give it a go! It's a fun race. I actually really like the element of the first half being before the main race. It makes round two really invigorating being around all the fresh runners.

Woaah great How do you do it? I find it very difficult even to complete a half marathon!!I have done 7 half marathons on average time 2 hours 16 mins. Should I go for full marathon training? If yes then please provide me training plan for it. Thanks😀
@JustinDoesTriathlon

Haha, just a lot of running! I'll leave the 'should' to you. I don't think that running a long way is any better than running any other distance. Ultimately, just comes down to what you enjoy. I do think something fun happens around the mile 18 mark though. I think you become a really good runner by being able to go out for 3+ hours at a time. I really like the Hal Higdon plans, particularly the Novice 1 or Novice 2. They get a bit of criticism by some people for putting a high % of the total mileage on the weekend long run. You can fix that by adding 1, maybe 2 miles to each midweek run. You really have to hit your weekend long runs though. If you start skipping those, you'll slide back in the plan pretty quickly. That said, it gets the job done. If you've trained for 7 halfs, you can absolutely train for a full. Just get on a plan and enjoy. :)

@@JustinDoesTriathlon Thanks a ton for your advice!! Will take a look at the training plans you have suggested 😁👍 Again you are incredible since you are able to beat those mental barriers that pop up in our head in between the race so easily 😀😁 Cheers!!
