So useful for newbies like me to have such a clear explanation of the basics. Many thanks.

Thank you so much. 3 great tutorial videos for the moderately serious simmer. Please continue making them. You mentioned RNAV in passing in this video. I would really like to understand what that is,how it works, how you'd set it up and how you'd use it. Not just in MSFS, but in the real world as well. Helpful for a more immersive experience.

Great suggestion Tony, glad you are liking the tutorials. I've had a few requests for Random Navigation tutorials so I definitely have them on the short list.

Man, I learn continue to learn so much from your videos. This one is beyond pro quality. I didn't know only very little about this. Even non-pilots would probably like knowing about all this so that in can make their landings as passengers on commercial flights. Always the continued best for/ from you!

Thanks Ricardo, I'm only running 1070 ti (there are two, but non-sli). I have some recording tricks (move slow) and post production speed up to 60fps that helps. I record at 4k 70 render scale with all settings on high and both details on 150.

CAUTION: Most of the centreline markings I've observed in X-Plane are incorrect. In Canada our markings are 100 ft long separated by 100 ft. Some GA pilots use/count these markings to monitor decision points for rejected takeoffs. In X-Plane, I'm unable to practice this skill because the centrelines are not realistic.

You forgot to mention how to read how much runway you have left.

I wanted to keep this video to runway markings. Feel that falls more under signs although I could have included it in hindsight as I do digress in videos sometimes.
