Russel losing to the very person he chose to take to the final three for the second season in a row was true poetic justice, and therein lies the beauty of Heroes vs. Villains

Rob asking Russell who he wants to take out, Russell pointing, and the camera revealing that Sandra and Courtney are RIGHT THERE is Arrested Development-tier comedic editing. And Rob and Courtney's reactions are gold.

Sandra and Parv bonding over hatred of Russell and Benjamin for once not being the most annoying man on the planet is my favorite thing about H v V

Where I draw the line for Russell is that he’s a GREAT strategist, but a TERRIBLE player. There is a way to win this game by being the best strategically while still respecting the players and their games, and Russell never learned that. It’s exactly why he made it to the end twice but lost both times. If the social aspect of the game wasn’t a factor, he would’ve been a two-time winner. But that’s what makes Survivor so compelling: you can’t win on your own.

The most hilarious thing about this is that this is only Heroes vs Villains alone. If you added in Samoa, Redemption Island, and Australian Survivor, you could up this to like an hour, lol.

Danielle said it best “It’s clear that there’s been a lack of skill in your jury management.” That’s something that folks tend to forget not just in Survivor but in real life too: socializing with others in a positive manner is just as important as any other skill in life. Too often people will mistake being nice as being weak, that empathizing with others means your trying to get something from them, or that admitting you were wrong means that you were lying from the start and can’t be trusted. Being compassionate to others is not a weakness, it is one of the strongest things a human being can do and it is something that this world will always need more then someone who “tells it how it is!”
