“Hello, Russian people, our elder brother!” These are the very first lines of the national anthem of the Uzbek Soviet Republic within USSR. And the fact that the Uzbek anthem immediately noted the special role of the Russian people is not even an exception, but a rule. Of the 15 republics of the USSR, 12 had exactly that in their anthem. And among those whose anthem did not mention Russian people is Russia itself, that is, the RSFSR.
