I knew about thermite from aluminum and iron oxide, but I didn't realize that you could do this. Very neat. Thank you. :)

Never heard of this reaction until I saw you demonstrate it. Though I do not have the background to understand it, it is amazing. It’s practical use seems to be thermite welding of steel and solid rocket fuel. I should have paid attention in chemistry class.

Hola!

Proffessor Gumino. Yet another possible life saver. Thank You friend. I didnt know this. I was wondering if you Lay the Bearing flat on the ground? Then fill the centre of the bearing with the Palm tinder.? Then put the Foil flat over the top of the bearing and then strike the centre? I think the sparks will go stright into the tinder below for sure dont you think?

Hard steel will have a compression effect (bounce back). I think that really influences it

It will spark without aluminum foil. I've done it lots of times with metal on metal (rusted or not). Just strike a hard, glancing blow. You, yourself, made sparks the first time you struck the ring bearing with the wrench, with no aluminum foil on the ring bearing, due to that first strike being a hard, glancing blow. You posted this video with the pretense of needing aluminum foil to get sparks. It is not needed.
@DalemGumino

It's true as you said The sparks you mean will increase the burning of rust and aluminum so that the sparks become bigger small spaks (Micro) that cannot be seen by the eye I assume it's not in the video above

@@DalemGuminoyes even I had that second thought that it can be done without aluminium foil But now I have come to know that use of that foil is to increase temperature in spark 🔥 Good trick 🇮🇳🙏🕉️🙏🇮🇳

It wasn't throwing fireworks though as it does with the addition of the foil.
