I also say a prayer for safe passage as we pull out of our drive way. I wish we had started camping when our girls were younger, but we’ve still had 5 years of camping with them. Lots of laughs and memories. Thanks for sharing.

What a great adventure. Enjoy the journey and keep praying to our Lord. On weekends God takes all the calories away from junk food so we can eat what ever we want. Lol 😂

We take the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel when we go to the Outer Banks. It’s my favorite part of the entire drive. Absolutely beautiful! Interesting that you loved the KOA before the bridge. I was looking at it for a possible week long trip next summer but the reviews weren’t great. So, looking to go North into NH, VT, or CT…any recommendations? Love quaint towns with shops, restaurants, & unique attractions…

Awesome. We were going to go across that bridge on the way back from Outer Banks but there was a wind restriction and we couldn’t go across with our camper so we had to take a long way out around.

Oh no!! Well even with no wind Eli almost peed his pants so it’s probably better to be safe.

@@RVEastCoast Haha! I bet. Looked like he was digging his fingernails into the steering wheel. HAHA! I would have been too. When we were driving out route 12 in the Outer Banks, the wind was so terrible and it was a cross wind. I was certainly holding my breath.

Enjoyed the video. When you say Chesapeake Bridge, are you also referring to the tunnel? If so, how was that pulling the rv?
@RVEastCoast

Yes there was bridge and tunnel. It was a little terrifying because lanes are narrow but overall it wasn’t too difficult.

The one we stayed at recently in Virginia Beach was called Virginia Beach KOA. The one we stayed at a few years ago (before crossing the bridge) was Chesapeake Bay KOA.
