Not sure if you know but you should never plug the camper into the power supply with the camper plugged into the truck the plug to the truck will have power going to it once you turn the power on.

Man, I just had my 2017 Montana fifth wheel delivered, went to South Carolina and bought it from a guy off marketplace. Then had the delivery service deliver two days later. I regret getting such a expensive complicated RV. This thing is so stressful the moving company that came and dropped it off, they set it up for me but didn’t get it perfectly level. I put the slides out that I realized it’s not good for the RV to have the slides out if it’s off level. Hopefully in the morning the slides will come back in and I could push auto level and it will auto level, this thing is so damn complicated to have stress and it’s more stress. $40,000 camper with all this stuff on it, wish I would’ve just got a $10,000 simple camper.

@@ckryegrass11 your 3 months to late. The RV fell on the man who wrote this. Hes dead LOL. I got the RV on my land now, tow truck could not back it up this steep gravel driveway luckily my neighbors had a big tractor with a fifth wheel hitch. They backed it in. I have it under a metal carport. hopefully, it will last five years without deteriorating. Should be able to build a house by then. It seems like it would last forever under this metal building. It’s not getting rain or sun damage. What do you think? Thank you.

You mentioned that you sometimes will stay at one location for 6 months. What kind of work do you do that enables you to ‘camp’ for 6 months? I’ll be lucky to camp for 3-5 days at a time.

You don’t. I just have it written in the video description and in the video it’s on my notes section in my phone. You have to write down your own checklist that works for you with your rv, hitch and personalize it.

A lot of really good information and I agree with checking power early. A few months ago we were in an established campground and we didn't check power. After we got finished then plugged in, our EMS gave us E-1 fault (reverse polarity). We had to call the office and change site. I learned after that. Keep up the good work.

One thing I like to do after pulling up to a site is check the temperature of the hubs and bearings especially after a long drive. I was able to safe a breakdown once because I could feel the heat of one hub drastically hotter than the rest. A bearing was going out. Repaired it on site because I carry a spare of the entire hub assembly with me .

A follow up question. Did you install your satellite dish? I’m thinking of installing one myself on my GD solitude s-class 2930. I often take trips to Canada. To receive a signal up there you must have a large dish to receive the signal. Those portable ones have a small dish and won’t pull in the signal. A call to Dish about the concern will have them inform you it’s illegal to receive their signal up there and they won’t help you. Any experience in receiving a signal north of the border and ease of install?
@WhyWait

@@clulessable unfortunately I can’t help with either question. Ours was already installed when we got the camper and we’ve never taken it up to Canada yet. Sorry
