These are not "craters", the correct terminology is that they are "Spatter Cones", they are obviously being built up by the spattering lava on their inside and outside walls. That technicality aside, this channel has brought the best coverage of this event by far. My highest praise goes to Valur and the production crew for showing us the countryside surrounding this eruption so that we can get a total understanding of the scope of this magnificent event. Thanks once again to all of you for this wonderful video! You're showing us scenes beyond imagination; great camera-work too. It's good to hear that Iceland is taking a strong stand against those who just jet in to your country and try to avoid quarantine; long may you continue to do so! Here in the UK we've had around 150,000 Covid deaths because our borders remained open for too long, so hopefully you don't fall into the trap of relaxing restrictions too early.
