Can't believe I am hearing about this match through KZitem. Some great people and players from Ryan's part of the world. Awesome to see Fedor playing with the fans.

Great video. A chance to see Fedor goof off a little and see him try some crazy shots.

Ryan is a great player but, I'll bet if u would have worked on his fundamentals early in his pool career, he would be a 750+. This is why fundamentals are so important. Not many 700+ players have weak fundamentals. Great video Jim

Yes, Ryan has issues with his stroke and we have discussed it. I would change nothing about it because he has it tuned to a high degree of repeatability as it is and it is very difficult to change something like that when you are on a roll at a 670 FR and hard to argue that he is not a great amateur player. The one thing I have said is that it will be difficult for him to maintain his skill level as he ages into his 50s and 60s because it requires so much athletic timing to stroke straight with your arm angled in and with the low amount of clearance he has with his grip hand. Perhaps that will encourage him to adopt a more conventional stroke as he ages but I would not change a thing right now.

@jimsplacebilliards-5499 I think players have to be willing to change things about their fundamentals in order to get over The Hump as we call it. If you go look back at my videos, I used to have a quick and jerky backswing, like 99% of amateurs. I had hit the no more progression hump so I decided to look into what I was doing wrong. I watched the Mark Wilson series and figured out I was too quick. I have slowed it down considerably, and it has really helped my game. Run outs are easier. I am much more consistent on those long tough shots, too. Just a thought. Gr8 channel Jim!
