With the small load it had no problem running in eco mode and was so quiet we had to listen close just to see if it was running.*

All in all do you feel it’s worth taking a loss and selling the ryobi 2200w model for this one? Given its features. Is it a fair bit quieter in real world use?
@fishermen8232
6 жыл бұрын
Kevin Skuce personally speaking I'd say yes. The 2300 has better fuel efficiency and the Bluetooth app is awesome! A tank of gas would last approx 6-7 hrs @ 25% load with the 2200. A tank of gas last approx 9-10 hrs with the 2300 @ 25% load. The Bluetooth app is soooo convenient. I can monitor the fuel level, reset the breaker if it goes into overload and shut it down all from inside my camper or house. Plus it will give you an approximant runtime on the remaining fuel, load %, total runtime and alert you when the fuel is low. I have since sold my 2,200 and unfortunately did not do a side-by-side sound comparison. However it does seem to be quieter, but I think that is because the 2300 has a slightly smaller motor. All in all I definitely think it was worth it!
@robrobert9766
5 жыл бұрын
I had a 2200 and now have 2 2300s. It is quieter. The app is handy, kind of a bonus. I found it to have better access to the primary maintenance areas of fuel pump, spark plug, air filter and oil. One of the 2300s is about 9 months old. It was running 10-12 hours a day every day. I bought the new one in July because the 2200 ran for about 11 months plus there was a sale. Right now I am running each generator every other day for 10-12 hours. I have been on my retirement camping trip for more than 2 years. I am a computer guy so I am constantly recharging batteries and running electronics including refrigerator/freezer and multiple internet connected devices every day. Maybe the greatest advantage of the 2300 is it does not require adjustment to run at higher altitudes. I freely recommend the 2300.

Nice review...I just purchased it new with a 12 month 0% interest at Home Depot. And where I also own an older 2000 watt Yamaha inverter generator, the Yamaha rarely operates for more than 4-5 hours under a moderate load. I hooked up a 500-watt heater to test the load for my teardrop camper and found it would easily last 6 hours of the heater cycling on and off. And when I hooked up a very bright outdoor LED light, it had almost no draw. I am surprised to see you could operate very much on a transfer switch since it is so small an output. I have a 9000 watt Champion generator hooked to a beefy cable to an outdoor specific junction which then is run to a transfer switch right on my main box. My main question then...Since you have used it camping, how do you protect it in the rain/snow? Or is that an issue at all?
