Just bought one used it today it keeps going off on its own I have a 1.5 battery is that the problem? Also when you’re putting the filter back in does it slot into place or just sits in cos compared to when I first took it out it was sturdy now anytime I try put it back in it just comes out as soon as you tilt it Thank you

The filter should fit firmly into place. I'm not at home to check but I'm pretty sure that there are clips which engage when you push the filter back in. The size of the battery shouldn't cause the vac to cut out. There is probably a thermal cut out to protect the motor if you use it continuously for a long time.

I have had mine for a little over a year. It has started to make a squeaking sound when turn it on. Is there a way of oiling it?

I've not tried it but it looks like the case covering the motor can be opened up to give access to the motor and fan.

Great review! How long does it last with the 2 Amp battery?
@bigtedshome
3 жыл бұрын
I've never timed it as I only use the vac for a couple of minutes at the most. Think I read somewhere that you would expect 10min per Ah so a 2 Ah battery should give you 20 min run time.

I wouldn't use it for cleaning cars out either as my Shark cordless vac is much better (I only did this in the video as a demo). This is more useful to have in the garage for cleaning up as you work or to quickly clean up crumbs/dry cat food in the kitchen,

A reasonable video,..BUT,...Zero mention of Filter care!, ...are they both washable?, or replaceable?, if so, how often do you replace them?...Cost? Thanks.

I clean the metal mesh filter with a stiff brush. The paper filters cost £8.20 on amazon. I haven't felt the need to replace mine yet. Hope this helps.

Hello Ted, can the vac be used with the bigger ampere batteries (4ah) ?
@bigtedshome
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the Ryobi one+ range have interchangeable batteries so you could use a larger capacity battery if you have one from another tool in the range. The only downside is that the larger capacity batteries are a bit heavier and bulkier.

I use a Shark detailing kit with my Shark vacuum cleaner for the car. The vacuum cleaner breaks down so I don't have to take the whole thing outside. It works well for me.

It's good for car mats ? I have cordless vax but suction it's not the best.
@bigtedshome
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is fine for car mats. Not as good as my cordless Shark (ICZ160UK) though so I tend to use the Shark. This is best for quick jobs in the kitchen or garage when you don't want to get the full size vacuum cleaner out.

Great review. I have one off these and just recently been having problems with dust coming out from the vents by the handles. Did u ever get this problem???

Yes, it must be the really fine dust that gets through the filter.

There's talk of a lot of dust getting past the filter. Have you noticed any of that with fine dust or dirt?
@bigtedshome
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, not sure how because there is a paper filter but some very fine dust does get pulled through and comes out of the side vents.

You can see this happening in the clip where I vacuum the car (approx 3:40 onwards). I wouldn't say it's a lot of dust but it would depend on what you are picking up.

@@bigtedshome can it get around the square filter? I assumed it was just blowing dust around in general, not allowing it to pass through the vac filter.
@bigtedshome

@@RoyTheKing241 Just had mine apart. Looking at it, I suspect the dust problem is due to the paper filter not being clipped correctly back into place after emptying. When the side clips are correctly engaged, the sealing looks good.
