Show me something I’ve never seen Like a river gleaming in the sun Or the sea and sky kissing on the horizon When I look out of my window All I ever see is cloudy grey skies And when you look into your mirror How d’you think you’re ever gonna see me Look into my eyes Will somebody please tell my why Women look so easy telling lies Why a smiling face can’t erase lonely eyes When I look out of my window All I ever see is cloudy grey skies And when you look into your mirror How d’you think you’re ever gonna see me Look into my eyes I don’t know why My face makes you laugh all the time But you’re all I need You make my life so complete

theres something about that melody (u know the one) in this song that just gets me man. It just pulls me asunder in the sweetest way Like getting broken to bits and not letting it get you down by any means.

I love Yukiko's version too. Her voice is so sweet. And the lyrics of that virsion makes me feel sadness because of the fact she sing it. I think it's a great song.
Miki Nakatani covered for her drama's theme and covered version is "Chronic Love".

Sakamoto had fun experimenting with many kinds of music in his early years, and had to choose the ones he liked the most and remained doing ever since. As a result, you will sometimes find songs that you may understand, such as this one you just found, and there will be others you may definitely not understand. But they're all scattered around in the middle of many discographies repository.udistrital.edu.co/bitstream/handle/11349/5601/RojasGaleanoAndresArmando2016.pdf I hope the link works. It's a PDF illustrating the full and complete works of Ryuichi Sakamoto, from scores made for movies, to songs he made with band mates as well. It is redacted in Spanish, however. I almost forgot to mention, many of these songs have more than one version. (Piano version, studio version, YMO version, etc) Personally, i like some versions of those songs more than the original ones. Trying to find music this way may require you do some effort!!

@@enciclopediamusicalilustra4250 most of his recent works sound very experimental too, just look at his channel. I'm so interested with his music, he's the only musician that does music that way

@@nickryan6787 They definitely do. But hey, I feel the songs he's made during the beginning of his career have a childish and playful sentiment, whereas the songs he made when he grew up older are more adult oriented and more dramatic. Y'know, the song that's been recently publicly released is the minamata theme for a movie illustrating the dangers of pollution. It's a dramatic score but... I feel the beginning may be somewhat based on a song called "the day when a gorilla gives a banana"
