Monotech harness solved all this.i went with obd1 td60u dizzy.you don't need to run that crank sensor with my set up.plug and play is the way.i only payed 400 for the harness and it work great and looks super clean.

I was told by honda tech forums, that for a chipped p28 on the 97 bb6 you didnt need to change the dizzy’s because p28 dont have a knock sensor nor will the crank position sensors have any effect. Im feeling like you just wasted your money doing that.

Pretty sure you just answered a question I had... I'm getting a crank position sensor error, and I do believe a new dizzy is my best route, just because everywhere I read that guys are getting this code are having to replace the sensor because the car won't run.. that's not my case.. it runs and starts no problem.

did you end up changing the distributor? im pulling a crank sensor code too and im still able to drive the car

be careful i did this switch and it went perfectly. but you do have to live with a p1399 code unless someone has an idea that can fix mine. great thing to do though because the crankshaft position sensor is a pain in the ass.

Gary williams... no that is not the case b and h are never going to be adaptable... you loose power if some even thinks about making a adapter plate lol... usually if head doesnt match up with intake its.. one has been replaced or honda said fuck it lets put that last of the old stuff on it...wont hurt none at all

so, i'm new to Honda's. I/we have always built "old school" muscle cars. I've got a 97 prelude base/auto. it runs much better then it should for stock. it had a cheap cai when I bought it, since then I put a magna flow muffler on the stock pipe, and I built a sealed ram air system for it. but even before those things it always ran better then it should for 195 hp. the balance shaft pulley has been removed, so i'm sure that accounts for some of the extra power, and quicker revs. the only other thing I've noticed is the number on the head, doesn't match the intake. p13 hf2 on the head, and p13 hf1 on the intake. I've been told the intake might be off of a b18c, or maybe an accord euro r. any thoughts?

what's the point in doing this? it gets rid of the sensors on the oil pump and allows ignition adjustments at the dizi instead of ecu?
