Some commentators spoke about the democracy and human rights in Eastern Europe countries but never mentioned about the democracy and human rights of Palestinian under Israel regime.
IMO, there's one God, but many definitions, beliefs and ways of worshipping ... there's one Life, but of many forms of it and many ways of living it to the fullest ... there's one concept of democracy, (the "government by the people, of the people and for the people"), but many different political systems (evolved & shaped by the cultural and the historical materialist conditions of each country) to achieve it and implement it for the common good. Hence, in my opinion, it is rather monopolistic, hegemonic, selfish, and undemocratic to insist that there is "only one correct way" to know God, to live a Life, and to practise Democracy and to serve the People.
Professor Sachs: a democratic country can be half democratic domestically and genocidal and imperialistic internaliationally. As such, we have Britain in the 19th century,...(he was cut off by the moderator, but if he continued, I am sure he is going to say ... in the 20th century. We all know which country that is).
