I have been to Brazil now 3 times. I am now in Brazil. I am from the US. I have been to Fortaleza, Brasilia, Rio, São Paulo , Caldas Novas, Florinapolis and Minas Gerais. Brasilia (the capital of Brazil) and Minas Gerais . Brasilia and Minas Gerais are way way cheaper than São Paulo and they still have a very high standard of living, so in that regard, living accommodations are decisively in favor of Brasilia and Minas Gerais. São Paulo, Rio, and any other main tourist place is best to leave it at that, a tourist place. I reside in Minas but I tour where I want to to tour , spend some time there, and go back home. There is vastly more security in Brasilia and Minas if we take up the areas of middle class and above level and compare them with similar areas in São Paulo or Rio. For almost $600 US per month, I live in a place with 1 car garage (super safe), balcony, laundry room FULLY equipped, a FULL SIZE comfortable kitchen and optimally equipped kitchen at that with everything including dishes , pots and pans, utensils, everything very nice quality, a fully very nicely furnished place , including a big screen SMART TV, and a huge closet , and a workstation, full size bed. ALL BILLS INCLUDED in the amount stated above.

@@TheTravelMoneyGuy You are very welcome. I sincerely and respectfully provide that info in case it is useful for anyone who might wish to venture into other places around Brazil. It is so so so vast that there are plenty of options :) You keep up the good work, brother. I commend you for staying away from the sleazy videos.

Nice review of São Paulo. Yeah, we do brazilianize things. But when it comes to the pronuniacion of internacional brand names, all countries do it. All of them. Americans don't say French or Italian brand names correctly at all, let alone the Brazilian ones (how do you say Açaí by the way?) because they americanize them; and that's alright.
