This has caused me to Wikipedia check these historical figures I (being an American) hadn't heard of. I'm sure the creators of this series would be pleased, and likely surprised, to know that they were educating adults 32 years later.

Yes, we don't talk much about the War of 1812 here in America, but it was a significant and triumphant war to the Canadians.

This is pretty cool. I come from Brockville, Ontario (Upper Canada) where Sir Isaac Brock lived and founded that town. There were a lot of Forts around that area and I remember as a kid, on field trips they would take us to see them. There was also a small War named "Battle of the Windmill" in 1838. It's pretty awesome to know I come from such a place with some awesome History.

OMG! That's Graham Greene! I recognize him from Transamerica! (And, yes, Dances with Wolves, but I saw Transamerica much more recently.)

The end made me think of an additional episode as a fanfic "The theft and recapture of T.W." In which an American spy from across the border steals T.W. and it's up to the kids to recover it before Lynne arrives to the spot in the present to return them back to their own time.

I am Canadian...but I found it interesting that the show ignored why the Americans wanted the British out of North America. No mention of the British illegally boarding U.S. ships and pressing (kidnapping) Americain citizens into military service in their war against Nepolian. - I suppose it's too complex and issue for a ten year old. I loved this show as a kid.. still enjoy it now.

@@rossdelane6350 We had a very troubled relationship with Britain in our early years, and this type of treatment by their soldiers was common. If you look up our Declaration of Independence which was our official document of divorce from the crown signed in 1776, you'll find a comprehensive list of grievances we had against Britain, or more specifically, George III who was on the throne at the time. Some of them really shed light on the things the British use to do to us back in those days.
