You have issues because your people didn’t have any economic or financial understandings compared to the immigrants. Your problems are here because you think the world should be fair when it isn’t, don’t live thinking you are owed something would be far more beneficial for you don’t you think?

Ive been watching these episodes honestly i was aware of the atrocities done to my ancestors by pakeha. But the extent of the atrocities is phenomenal. Still nothing compared to what the British government did to the aboriginals and African Americans.

Like my grate great grandparents would have been the generation that did that horrible stuff towards the Maori. And yest they probably didn't realize how wrong it was back then but I know it was wrong so the least I can do is apologize on their behalf.

Sure, it's weighted towards Māori history, but come on guys, I think we're all grown up enough to not take issue with that. Probably. It would be nice to see more on the settlers as well though!

Family violence began with European settlers? This research is biased and neglects the fact that English Irish and Scottish settlers had also been displaced off their own land by the English government. They were escaping starvation and deprivation and bravely seeking a better life after arduous journeys of several months on sailing ships.

There's a limit to how far back we can go with motivations when the series is focused on the history of NZ. But you make a good point about the motivation of many British settlers coming to NZ.

Yes this show paid for by us , is very biased and unfortunately this is how Māori want there history taught. Sad really as they just lose themselves even more.

I think that if we as maori wanted to buy back our own land back at double the original buying market price,,,,,,,then imagine their surprise when we give them twenty muskets,and twenty pots and pans ,,,,just saying,,,,, we can go to international law we can go to human rights , i think that is worth fighting in court for,,,,
