Once I get the thing on the road then I'll have Body work to do Lol, It's got a few places on the body that needs to be fixed before I can paint it, But I'm going to start tearing my truck apart as well here soon bc I want to rebuild it, I want to do a 350 Swap & I want to Paint it & Maybe lower it some more 🤷

Nice, Yeah I had to do a Frame Swap on mine bc the Frame was bent when I bought it, So if you are doing a body swap and you don't have a lift or anything like that, I used a Floor Jack, Cement Blocks & 2 - 8' Long 4X4 Pieces of Wood to lift my Blazer body off the Frame, I believe I've got a video showing how I did it, Should be something like "Removing the Blazer body" or something along those lines...... But yeah I'd definitely suggest doing the Suspension Lift before you put the new Body on, that way you have more room to work & do the Body Lift Kit as you are putting the new Body on....

Yeah I had to extend my 4X4 Floor Shifter, I can't remember exactly by how much, but I just took the Shifter off and took the factory rod out and then I went and bought some All-thread Rod and cut it to the size I needed and put it back together and then I also had to Cut & bend the hole in the floor that way my shifter would engage.... I think I did a video on it if I remember correctly, I'll have to look and if I did I'll link it to you ok

No it was all Factory Suspension, Still is Factory Suspension LoL, I want a Suspension Lift Kit for it, but the only one I can find is the Rough Country 2.5" Lift Kit for $520 Dollars and in my opinion to just get 2.5 inches of lift it ain't worth the money, Now if it would have been like a 4" or 5" Lift Kit for the $520 dollars, then it would be worth it to me, I know a guy that has a 5" Lift Kit on his Blazer and I'm just waiting for him to do a Solid Axle Swap on his so he can sell me the 5" Lift Kit, unless I just decide to do a Solid Axle Swap on mine too 🤔

To be honest with you your best bet is just to do at Solid Axle Swap on it really, Bc the IFS & Rear Diff in these Blazers SUCK and from the research that I've done on the SAS it doesn't really seem that difficult to do the Swap really either, As long as you have the tools to do it and a good welder then that's the way to go imo, because at least with the Jeep parts you'll be able to buy Lockers and whatever else you need, but they don't make nothing really for these Blazers, A 2.5" Rough Country lift kit is all you can buy unless you find an old old kit that somebody selling...

Nah it's not seized, it use to mount to the upper fender and where I did the 3" body lift I had to move it down under the battery tray, I might end up having to use the 93 Blazer Actuator Cable bc my 84 Cable might be to long 🤷

What do you need to change out to do the lift?
@s10_4_life6
4 жыл бұрын
You will need to extend ur Battery Ground wire that goes to the Frame, Fuel Filler Neck, You might have to relocate the 4x4 Actuator ( I had too on mine ), Check ur Steering Shaft to see if urs is the one that expands or not, If it's not, then you'll have to change it out to one that does, If urs is a Manual Shift TCase like mine then you'll have to tinker with the Shifter to get it to set right, Other than that it's pretty much a straight forward Lift, in the kit it has Instructions on what to do, they helped alot, just make sure you read them before you start tho that way if you have any questions you can ask them before hand... Also, you'll have to cut ur bottom fan Shroud to clean the fan blades...

@@TheSuburbanWarrior97 Yeah I do, Also I forgot about the Headlight Ground Wire as well that goes to the Frame will need Extended too..... BUT you never know, you might not have to do all that, You Really won't know until you start doing it really, I bought my 3" Body Lift Kit from Summit Racing for $110 I believe it was, I haven't Extended my Fuel Filler Neck yet, it's just setting down in the hole right now, I can still put gas in it and I actually might just leave it like that Lol, But you can see everything I did in the Videos tho

Depends really on which Wheel you are using, If you use the Factory Aluminum Wheels, then I believe I've seen people with 33/10.50/15s on theirs, If you have Aftermarket wheels like I do then I really don't know, Mine are 31/10.50/15s, but it will depend on the Back spacing and stuff like that and you might even have to cut the bottom part of the Front Fenders, I've talked to people that have the Factory Wheels but with 31/10.50 tires on them and they said they didn't have to cut the Fenders, But where my Wheels have a different back spacing they stick out a little more than the factory ones do, so I had to cut my Fenders, In my opinion, if it's just a daily driver and you're just looking for a bigger tire, I'd go with the 31/10.50s, Anything bigger than that you'll most likely have to do some cutting on the front fenders..... But if you are on Facebook you can always join some 4X4 S10 & Blazer Groups and try to find out more info from those guys that are running bigger Tires tho.

Hey sorry I just seen this Comment, But no I paid $110 dollars for my 3" Body Lift Kit from Summit Racing, The little sleeve pieces are for the Vacuum Actuator that's under the Hood, Then there is another Solid piece of metal rod that's for your shifter linkage, You'll have to cut it and have the 3" Piece of Metal Rod welded to it that way your shift linkage is long enough.
