For the hub bolts, easy trick: Grab one of the lugnuts and a few washers, like 5. put the lug bolt in the hub hole like normal, stack the washers over the threads and then screw on the lug nut on. grab an impact or breaker bar and continue screwing on lugnut until the lug bolt head is flush with the hub. Works every time.

Ran into a similar problem installing polly bushes on my MX-5 / Miata. I used a bushing removal tool to pull it in from both sides, but you can make do with a peice of threaded rod some, somem nuts, washers, and large sockets. On bushes with two halfs, sometimes its eaier to but both halfs in with the metal sleeve barley in one half, then use a large clamp and a wooden shim to squeze it in all the way. PLENTY OF LUBE!!!

Quick lug stud install trick. Get an impact socket and use a lug nut and an impact use it to pull the stud all the way in. Little grease on the lugso it doesn't eat the metal up. Even washers or anything to shim up the lug work as well.

When you do wheel studs, throw a lug nut on it with a washer and just tighten it to suck the stud into the back of the hub. Loosen & done! (some may say that will strip the splines out, I've never had one go bad as long as you get a small portion of the studs into the splines as a kind of 'start' if you will)

What you do is take a set collar, about an inch in size. Find a bolt that fits the thread pitch of the set screw in the collar. Weld the head of that bolt to an old screw driver, run the collar onto the bolt. You now have a punch holder that keeps your hand out of the way and you can lock the collar down on the punch to hold it.
