+MElekiaZ And a car is just a car. So why make a difference between a new Porsche and a 20 year old Fiat? Both will take you from A to B. But the Fiat's chance of failure is significantly higher. Same story with the hoses. So if you are a serious tuner you don't use garden hoses!

Lots of tuners use clear hoses... Its just reinforcement braiding that makes it look like garden hose. You can clearly see if the fuel is perishing the inside of the hose which you can't do with over braided or black fuel hose.

Sounds like 3000 revs on small funnels and about 6000 on bigger funnels , to me it sounds the same in relation

we all know that torque a low rev is THE problem of the S2000. But, on the other hand, if you increase the torque a low rev, what are the consequences for torque, power and VTEC perfs on the dyno at high revs? Cause the spirit of the VTEC and S2K is also the high perfs at very high revs…

The thing you said in description is true. Alao this is how Variable lenght intake works (ferrari and others) On low rpms intake are longer to increase low Rpm torque, and because of wngine sucktion it shortens which help more on high RPM's

I hate ITB's on daily cars. Such a hassle to install a chamber when it rains. The mpg always seems significantly worse. Granted they sound cool and look cool, but they suck for anything but a dedicated track car.

I was going to put them on. I'm not 80 years old, so I really don't care how loud my intake is and rain is a nonissue. Tuning them was going to be a bitch though, and I decided to go a different way with the car.

Bigger trumpets make for better venturie effect more swirling of air my honda cbr 600 rr crotch rocket had em different sizes to tune bikes cylinders in air box with secondary fuel injectors for top end speed when injectors in bike are maxed out more air needs more fuel to haul balls.

1:13 U can se the intake right there, a turbo spools up from the exhaust, and a pushes air into tube from the turbo to the air intake, This engine is naturally aspirated, search on google for "how turbo works" and look for pictures, and u will find some good explains

In the front of the engine bay, that is a turbocharger, that is driven by a turbine turned by exhaust gases from the engine. open your eyes you might realize the mistake you just made.

Not very clued up about engines, but isn't the point of that Turbo for forcing more air through the intake. So what is the point of having ITBs and pointing the air from the turbo in it's general direction, surely that's not going to produce a massive power gain? Having a turbo and ITBs seems a bit pointless to me. Please advise.

If this is indeed a purpose built TODA racecar, then it makes sense that they definitely want to squeeze every little bit of power out of that motor they possibly can. It's like back in the day when tuners / race shops would turbo AND supercharge their builds (it was a thing they did with the old-school supercharged MR2's way back). Got here because I was researching F20C ITB swaps on older (71-77) Celicas.

pretty sure that's a custom air box and not a turbo. the plenum and intake pipe that leads to the air box has been removed for this video.

It's a pod filter with a heat shield, you can see the filter element. They were probably just making a video while they had the intake off or it hasn't been built yet. Plus ITB's function better inside a box rather than exposed, people just do that because it looks cool. Even if it was a turbo there are a few cars that run ITB's with a turbo (the RB26DETT from a Nissan Skyline GT-R springs to mind).

How come? Actually TODA has surge tanks for the ITBs they sell. ITB just means Individual Throttle Bodys, that has nothing against turbos or superchargers.

Itb has instant throtle response, so it doesn't have to fill the intake manifold with air, and it's still the same with a turbocharger or supercharger. Still, a turbocharger will take time to spin faster because of inertia, it will still need higher engine rpm because of the turbine size, and it will take time to fill all the intake (pipes and intercooler), but the intake manifold will be at ambient pressure (or a little more) instead of vacum.

Richard Conrad Haha what does that ASE Certification have anything to do with performance parts. You don't deal with them, you don't know about them.. All you deal with is STOCK parts. You have no idea about the engineering on performance parts. Curious whats junk? TODA are highly rated ITBs, and easily better than stock manifold.
