My outer race of my pilot bearing was similarly heat fused/frozen to the inside of the crankshaft. The other parts had disintegrated completely once I inspected the clutch. Nothing left except for a hardened steel shell which couldn't be pulled out. No bread/oil trick or slide hammer puller would have had a chance to budge it. Couldn't get truck to a welding shop to try the method you show here, as I had already removed driveshaft, muffler, transmission, etc. I have to carefully grind out the entire circumference of the bearing outer race with a dremel tool. Time-consuming process but it has to be ground out before pressing in a new pilot bearing, all without damaging the diameter of crankshaft.

Great work in getting it out. It can be challenging, but as you have shown, by taking your time, you can win!

The original clutch bracket looks pretty weak. Is there any type of up grade kit that any one knows about??

No that I know of, but I did look at machining one. But found one very easy.
