In 1958/9 I lived in Cowell across the road from the Franklin Harbour Hotel. The banister of the staircase was our slippery dip.

Reason why the chimneys are the last standing is because there built first and strong if they got good draft up them then it's a goodie then they build the rest off the building around them , the house is useless if the chimneys don't work properly , for heating and cooking

Why is it that everyone says SA is so under rated , we have the best beaches and Coast lines , the mighty Murray River , and the Flinders Ranges , is it our tourism government not promoting it properly or doing anything at all , everyone seems to have great advertising about their interstate places on our telly , anyway probably best left as a great secret 😊 then we have the place 4 ourselves 😂 , i love ya adventures there great keep it up and safe travels and yep them drones are a game changer 👍

most SA people know what they have got and are smart enough to keep it quiet so it wont be flogged by tourists but maybe the tourism side has never been pushed I really dont understand why it is such a beautiful state and very diverse cheers

Loving your videos. We are getting set up for our new caravan that arrives next week hopefully. Looking at the same seajay boat you have. They are a bit heavier than most thats size. Also doing a gvm upgrade on the colorado we have. Just wondering what the set up is you have with the winch. Is it on the roof rack or on the canopy? Well done. Gotta love SA

Hi ,enjoy your new van it is a very exiting time ,the 3.7 sea jay nomad is an exellent tinny we have put a small floor section in ours it makes it great to move around we have our winch bolted on the canopy and to the headboard of the tray for extra support the boat has 3 points that attach to the winch ,one in the front and 2 at the sides near the rear of the front seat , we attach a bridle to the 3 points and winch from that cheers Kev and Chris

@travellingaustralia7319 Thanks very much for the reply. We just picked our new van up yesterday. It's nice. We are excited for the October long weekend. Some great advice for the winch. Thank you very much. Now it's time to sell the big boat and the old camper trailer. Then, new ute tray and canopy. Also, that new small tinny. Slowly getting there. Thanks again and hopefully, we will see on the road sometime in the future 👌

Gday Kev & Chris, a great video again. Looking forward to see your new trips & upgrades. Very interested to know your thoughts on stone stomper or rock tamers, as you seen to be happy with the caravan’s stone guard. Willow (Aussie made) make a good Jerry. Handle on the top & one on its back. (No hugging a dirty/dusty jerry can) Cheers 👍🏼🍻

Hi Craig from when we have talked to other campers on remote tracks it seems the stone stomper was a big favourite it packs away nice when it is not needed and gives very good protection because it is not overtight it allows the stones to be absorbed then drop rather than deflecting them the willow cans look good but not sure how they would go in our holders probably will stick with pro quip ones (aussie made also) but will be putting a long range tank on the new ute cheers Kev and Chris

Cheers for the response Kev. We have a 200 series with the rock tamers (with the round exhaust metal grill built in) but it soots the back of the vehicle. The stone stompers do eventually sag & flick up & down (seen this from following another van) bad when the rocks & mud collect on the stomper itself. Was thinking of trying that broom looking one, as long as it’s below the exhaust 👍🏼🍻

Love SA for all the amazing stone buildings and fetler homes. The quality of workmanship is so far above current builds. This is the first of your videos I've watched (will go back to see the others) but a map of where you were (like Yunta) would have been handy so I didn't have to break out the map to work out where you were 😅 enjoy, and thank you

Thanks ,we had to get hold of a ute for work quickly when we had a mishap with the old cruiser ,this ranger just came up right place right time and we are really impressed with it ,I had not even considered them as a tow vehicle before but it seems to do the job really well , maybe just lacking a bit of power but the new model should be fantastic .still cant beat a cruiser for reliability though cheers Kev and Chris

Hey! Don't promote SA, every man and his dog will be there in no time! I guess the underground areas of the pub was to help keep the beer cool, just like the sunken water reservoir would have helped keep the water cool. Waukaringa looks like bloody hot country in the middle of summer.
