9:39 Ah yes, sounds like the mindset many VC firms have. Following other firms/investors and blindly assuming they’ve done their due diligence, without doing your own due diligence. It’s no wonder Theranos got as much funding as it did - the blind leading the blind.

My First Million isn't that bad of a name. Remember your audience first, not the opinion of your guests, multi-millionaires. 95% of your audience are not millionaires. MFM's an easy acronym. It can also be my first million subscribers, my first million daily listens :P Plus, the ConvertKit story, yeah xD. I'd like to hear the deep why behind the rebranding plan.

I love the name, so many people share their stories here of how they made their first million and it encapsulates that so well. Most importantly though, it reflects aspiring viewers aspirations. It gives me inspiration, motivation and ideas on my journey to *my* First Million! I think too many people are looking at it from the wrong angle.

"Rich people who don't get divorced" around time 17:25 - if you meet her in college there's no way to know that she might reach 'max satisfaction' with a certain income then not support 'additional ambition' - striving and setting great financial goals into your 30s. So if you meet in college, it's a risk that you won't discover until the first larger money rolls in that you're not a match. It is probably best - my advice - if you're ambitious, that she had ambitious, striving and financially successful family. I made a ton after we parted company after 15 years and probably would not have been able to, if we had not parted company. It's hard to understand but some people have a low tolerance for 'abundance-seeking.' It was a real shock. EDIT: she and her family were Buddhists. Maybe that played a role in the disdain she exhibited for wealth building, not sure.

how is $3,000,000 enough for 10 people unless you are planning to pay 9 of them minimum wage? What's the average tech salary? $75,000/year. So at the minimum $750,000 gone off the top. How much for founder? $250,000. And operating expenses, including employee related costs? There isn't much left of that last $2,000,000. And then growth, investing, marketing. Nah $3mil is nothing with 1 ppl.

Hi, I discovered your channel about 3 days ago.👍 I'm glad I discovered it!👍 I was excited about this particular video interview with Rob but I'm not sure if this is for "Anyone" or for software developers looking to make money with the app they developed /built.😫🤦♀️ Another one that got me confused is it seems as though the types of podcast you were talking about was mostly business related such as service based types of businesses, reviews etc.👍 Those are all good options because we all want to make money.😊 I guess where I was expecting a step by step detailed information for anyone looking to start a podcast. 😥 I am looking to start a podcast and don't know where to start and this interview got me confused even more.😥 Should we self host & not use Spotify or Apple to launch a podcast? I need help!😥😫🤦♀️ I'm super confused. 😥😫

I think this podcast is one of the absolute best well rounded business podcast. my first million does have a slightly incongruent name, but it also makes sense and keeps me coming back, but when I think of the names, and your faces there is not a connection. Strangely enough your names NEVER stick, even now after 2 months of listening about every other day i do not remember your names. That goves me the impression that ot you brand under your own names, somehow, that YOU guys may STICK.

Something irks me about saying that you don’t have to be very wealthy to own a $200k plane. It sounds ignorant.
