They were singing something, but I believe it was when one of the event organizers yelled something at the crowd that they decided to sing the national anthem. At least, that's what it looked like on the backstage vid.

Captain Władysław Raginis said that he would not come out of the bunker alive and blew himself up with a grenade. The words of one of the soldiers who saw him last "The captain looked at me warmly and gently called me to leave. When I was at the exit, I was hit in the back with a strong blast and I heard an explosion." Out of 720 soldiers, 650 died. The German army numbered 42,000 soldiers Polish Army 720. The German forces are 1,200 officers and 41,000 soldiers and non-commissioned officers, equipped with over 350 tanks, 108 howitzers, 58 artillery guns, 195 anti-tank guns, 108 mortars, 188 grenade launchers, 288 heavy machine guns and 689 machine guns. In total, his forces were about 60 times stronger than Polish defenders. Polish forces were His forces numbered about 700 soldiers and non-commissioned officers as well as 20 officers armed with 6 artillery cannons (75mm), 24 heavy machine guns, 18 machine guns and two anti-tank armored car wz.35. anti-tank rifles, with only 20 rounds. THIS IS A HISTORY OF A REALLY GREAT FILM POLISH CINEMAS WERE INFLAMMED WITH Tears TO THE CEILING. NOT WITH REGRENT BUT WITH PRIDE AND WE KNOW THAT WE HAVE, WE HAVE AND WANT TO BE THE SAME AS THEM. A really fun fact about this song I dont see around too much, Sabaton was actually granted honorary Polish citizenship for their works (and this song particularly) honoring Polish history. Just a fun tidbit that helps to realize how much of an impact music can have. ;)

I wish you guys had watched the extended one where the audience of 600-700 thousand people sing the Polish national anthem at the band. This whole concert was just such a thing of beauty, not just the music, but the brotherhood in the audience, the connection between them and the band.. Just magnificent!

This is most widely - known Woodstock Concert (Pol'and'Rock Festival) is free concert organized by Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy) . You can find EVERY kind of music there not only metal also rock, reggae,etc. It is a place of a great possitive energy - a lot cheaper to organize a trip there than for ex. concerts in Germany. Highly recommended to go and see!

I love my country.! I'm proud to be Polish... Check this amazing history and how is a big.. omg! All countrys in the world how many times fight fot it? One meybe Two.. if someone see where fighting 3 times say WOW.. But if you see Poland heh u don't say no ona word.! We fight 43 times and we still here :) So now you must think one! The plan was for Poland to hold Germany for two weeks; France would invade Germany from the west, followed by Britain. France and Britain wussed out. Poland held for FOUR weeks even after the Soviets invaded on Sept. 17th.

At the start of the video when Joakim is holding the... "balloon" he says something like "Dearest people of Poland... I need to talk to you about sexual education, this is not what you are supposed to do with these things". Strangest of all - With all the flame throwers that Sabaton always have on stage (8-9 tons of equipment), how did it make it all the way up to the stage without getting popped? 🤫 Cheers / B.

From what I can find online at the festival's own wikipedia page it seems like 550,000 attended the festival but I doubt that they all watched this show. Either way it's one of the larger crowds I've seen that's for sure

Audio of this video does not do the song justice. One of the risks you take with watching the live preformance, ofc with this song, *this* live preformance is the only video you should watch, so ultimatly you did the right thing. However, I strongly suggest you listen to the studio version when you get a minute over.

There was nothing about hostages. There was a line of Polish defense in Wizna. The Nimecs attacked without warning and had many times greater forces than those stationed in Wizna. And they defended themselves to the last soldier to give Poland time to mobilize the army.

Check out Attack of the Dead Men, either live, lyric vid, or the fan made version. You will never fear movie or video game zombies ever again after that song and the history it tells.
Devil Dogs and The Last Stand are two of my favourites from Sabaton, I really recommend listening to them
