Argentina couldn't have won that war, with or without a professional army. The UK was still, and still is, a military force to be reckoned with, while Argentina was so weak they need to press absurdly outdated claims to help with their own insecurity. You sound like a damn communist, dontcha know? .50cal BMG can go through almost anything!
@justindougherty5265

So all the videos of 50 cals not going through stuff that's not designed for space travel here on KZitem are fake right? I mean really, in space a pin head sized rock puts a hole big enough to drop a pen through in we hat could basicly be called armor. So an alien window on a ship designed to take such hits, I doubt a ,50 going even 5,000 fps could get through it, they are way more advanced than we are.
@justindougherty5265
8 жыл бұрын
Not to mention that they shoot at the aliens face plates and not even a scratch, it took a cannon just to take out one of them and I doubt their suits are as strong as their ships are. I'm comparing their weaker face shields to their Windows and the fact that all small arms did basicly nothing but bounce off their armor. To assume a 50 cal would go through windows made with far superior technology than we have. If they were real and they had the same mindset of don't fire unless fired upon, you'd take a shot it would bounce off and then it's thirty turn and with how they do it you'd be fucked. He'll there's bullet proof glass that we can make that resistsa 50 cal do aliens... No question about it, it's just not gonna happen. Now a cruise missile might work, but humans have made bullet proof glass that withstood a 500 pound bomb. So yeah pretty sure aliens wouldn't have to worry about any projectile weapon, maybe a rail gun would work. But if I was the aliens I'd have been smart enough to make basicly a star around the ship controlled by electro magnetic fields to just vaporize any incoming projectile. And humans have made a miniature star several times and showed that plasma can be manipulated with emfs. We could probably make a force field with today's technollogy on earth. Only hard part with it is, when it does finally have what it takes to pull it back and surround the vehical, how to protect the humans inside from such high emfs. So if the aliens think like me, there's no chance in he'll anyone would survive and the alien losses would probably not even be because of human action. More like mechanical malfunctions but like one or two ships would be lost to that. Our efforts would be useless. Unless they were idiots and left their ships and armored suits (like in sky fall). The problem with us humans is we think like humans, we have a side in the imaginary worlds that's nasicly biased and we're always the winner in the end. Thinking computer viruses will do anything to an alien ship (independence day) why would a race of aliens far more advanced and having gone through the same stages as use through thier history and have surpassed us or have been ahead before we even got started, to think they sent smart enough as to deal as with something as simple as a virus (computer virus or biological virus-war of the of the worlds). Plus we've suppossably been watch by aliens since ancient times so to think they don't know everything about earth and humans.

It’s one of the proudest wars in British history and it was no were near a struggle Britain didn’t even send over half its army and Air Force and it only sent 3/4 of its navy over the fact Britain could take something back that was 7000 miles away from Britain in just under 11 weeks is impressive considering it’s just under a thousand miles away from Argentina also considering Argentina had quite a strong military at the time including an aircraft carrier and the most modern jets that were “Far superior” than British jets and yet Britain had no air to air loses with its harriers to call that humiliating you either never served or don’t know anything about history because I could count the amount of country’s on one hand that could achieve that ALONE

@Kalasmuk
7 жыл бұрын
Windows are always weakness... it's impossible to build something really strong and transparent (I mean not as strong as steel or something). And don't forget they used .50 barretts, these beasts are anti-material they can penetrate armor even tanks. And 3th thing: Space ships need to be completely sealed, not to be build from diamantium so they aren't as resistant as everyone wishes, and this one looks like scout or some light type... fast, agile, even the weapons looks weak... think about some battleships.
@kuba_mar
7 жыл бұрын
But cant they use... Cameras? I mean if they get destroyed they cant see but they are a lot harder to locate than.... A window... Also you would think they actually used some sort of super thick windows because its a spaceship (even if a light scout) but its supposed to survive in space + be able to fight, but a sniper rifle is able to destroy them....
@Kalasmuk
7 жыл бұрын
Sure, cameras are useful tool, its strange you can barely see them in any movie... sure it doesn't make sence... you could say ,,but what about some sort of interference?" in that case you will propably barely use your ship. Maybe becouse it was a scout it needs windows? maybe for situations with high interference? As I said their windows got shot by .50 barretts and they penetrate metal... any kind of transparent material doesn't stand a chance. Of course we aren't talking about star trek or something with LOGIC... they drifted with a fucking ship! propably just a necessary stupidity to create something interesting. Never trust films, barely based on logic and science. Ps. scouts aren't supposed to fight, they have something for selfdefence otherwise run and report!

I'm Germany's highest scoring tank ace of WWII at your service. 138 Tanks and 132 Anti-Tank Gun emplacements. A record that holds today. I hope I don't sound too arrogant. In actuality, I'm just some crazy Newfie masquerading as a Tank Commander.

+Gary de la Hoz Sanjuan It's about the invasion of the Falkland Islands by the Argentines. Los Maldivas will NEVER be Argentinian unless the people there decide to be. They made noises the other year so we had to sell them some of the oil (that they think is theirs) at reduced price. Can't you tell I'm British. It's about Thatcher defending the Falklands, so the dictator in charge of Argentina could go "look we need a navy" and to put something on British papers that wasn't "lots of miners want the witch (Thatcher) in charge of the country dead" essentially.
@garydelahozsanjuan1508
8 жыл бұрын
micmac274 Oh, I see. But you know, Argentina lost that war because they thought that couldn't beat the British if they tried. They only started the war to distract the population who wanted civil liberties. It's a sad story.

It's far from drifting. This is called clubhauling. A ship moving at full speed would drop an anchor on one side, bringing that side to a halt, the resulting momentum flings the ship broadside, showing all cannons. Useful tactic during mid 1700s when galleons were everywhere. Ships would act like they were running away and then unleash everything
@brandondallaire

I love the 16 inch turrets, problem is firing all of them almost simultaneously would make the Missouri lean from the recoil and that isn't shown in the movie
