If this is not the wake up call to take out that single attempted (switch 1/2) split 1/1 element, I don't know what else can.

Exactly. That skill was a bad idea, and Voinea and Team Romania paid the price for it today.

@@findingthatperfectspot4692 while I agree the skill is a bad idea, it wouldn't have made a difference today. FR was 2.5 points ahead in the bronze position, this mistake alone would not have brought enough points for Team RO to make it to the podium. If anything, this + no OOOs on floor + no fall on beam + no fall on vault, perhaps...😕😕😕

Honestly, maybe not take it out but place it AFTER her series. If it had come after her series, she would not have lost the CR or the series bonus. Still would have counted a split leap but it would have been 0.7 higher.

@@mojochrys No, things are not linear. If she hits a 14, it puts a lot of pressure on France in the vault rotation, and Romania may not fall on the 1st vault. This is called team dynamic which is important.

I think she was credited for the leap at 0:50 as switch half and when she did the switch half again at 1:02 she was not credited for it, nor for the series connection bonus or the requirement for 2 leaps connected. So that's how she lost 1 point in D score doing an almost identical routine (except for that leap) to the one in the EF. If the judges would've been incorrect, I'm sure they would've petitioned for the review of the D score, but they probably knew it was correct due to the error in the leap. 😕😕😕

No, she did the switch 1/2 twice. No 0.3 CV + 0.5 CR + (D split 1/1 element to B split jump). 6.5 - 0.3 - 0.5 - 0.2 = 5.5

No, the difficulty value was correct. She underrotated her full-twisting switch leap to the point where it was downgraded to a half-twisting switch leap. She then performed another switch leap-half in her leap combination, which didn't count towards her DV, because you can only use a skill towards DV once. So she lost the entire value of the switch leap-half she did in combination, and since that skill didn't count towards her DV, she probably lost the connection bonus, as well, PLUS 0.5 due to the lack of a composition requirement (leap series). In other words, because her routine was poorly constructed, a single mistake ended up costing her a LOT of points.

@@findingthatperfectspot4692correct me if I’m wrong, tour jete and switch half are completely different element in the COP and if they are the same then gymnast cannot perform tour jete half + switch full on floor or else they would be credited the same + they’re off different values too on floor

So so underscored, but it is because she did the same leaps two times so that’s why her connection of 2 leap’s wasn’t counted which is 0.5 and she lost 0.3 on the first jump from difficulty

It's not unfair. She severely underrotated her switch-full. It was counted as a switch-half, and since she does another switch-half later in the routine, the second switch-half is not credited, and she loses connection value as well, because of not being able to count the intended switch-half.

@@Marketoromagnolo yes. She lost the value of the skill, plus the connection bonus, then she lost 0.5 in composition requirements, all from that one error. The score is correct.

No points were stolen. She has poorly execution form, she executed badly a skill and it was devalued because of that. Her poorly constructed routine then resulted in losing a second skill since it was the same as the devalued one, so not only she lost that skill, but also the connections the skill was getting (0.3) plus the 0.5 bonus since it was a part of the leap series which is a requirement. Hopefully that will teach them a lesson to study a bit the CoP, or maybe study it better
