Idea for quieting down your ring of steps. Go buy some stick on felt and duck tape. I used this on my hook ring with plastic hooks, the tape take the initial clanking sound down and the felt acts as bump buffer and sound dampner

Outstanding. I've been looking for something like this for years. Just purchased your ring of steps as shown here, & I'll edit this comment at season's end if I remember to. Thanks sir! You and John Eberhart are helping me feel like it's finally going to come together after ten years of unfilled bow tags in my home state...

Make a video climbing a tree with limbs you have to go around. Big issue with sticks. Great selling point to steps. I like hunting trees with low limbs for cover below. Keep up the great work. ❤

That's some good information to consider, been using a climber previous years, got sticks this year, so far not crazy about the method, I have strap on steps also, just never used much, this has me rethinking my setup, thank you

What kind of rope do you use for tether and linemans?

I use Oplux but there are some other 8mm ropes that are also fantastic. I would def find something 8mm if not the even smaller amsteel stuff. But the Oplux is a great rope and I do recommend it.

Great video. I’m currently trying out the 2TC climbing method with your Apex ring of steps. If I find that I’m not a fan of 2TC, I will purchase your climbing steps. I’m getting better at hanging the ring of steps every time I hunt.

Gotta say I’m very interested in this product and will probably give it a shot! What saddle do you use? I’m new to saddle hunting and looking for some advice there.

Hey Andrew thanks. This is a saddle I made myself. If I had to recommend one it would be a Cruzr XC or any custom saddle. Something with a bigger seat and slightly longer bridge loops helps with comfort Imo. Good Luck!

Great information! I have always been a ground hunter, but am looking into getting into the trees. As I am approaching 60, is this recommended for longer hunts?

Awesome! I actually hunted in a tree nearly 12 hours in this rig. The feet were fine but the saddle was a little painful. But then again, 12 hours in a tree is painful regardless! Good luck to you!

I bought the apex steps to go with my platform. No matter what I do, the steps lean and try to pull away from the tree, and thats even with the ratchet strap! I'm not happy with them at all so far

Hey Mike, we appreciate your support and we're sorry to hear that. The HD ratchet should be way more than needed. We do have a return policy on our website if you don't get them to work for you. Let us know how it goes and how we can help. Thanks again
