She's so beautiful! If they only knew how loved they are and happy they will be. Adoption is a wonderful thing for all involved. My "baby" is now 26!

sad to see the little ones crying in their terror at being handed to strange looking people you cant help feeling sorry for them as they have no way of knowing how lucky they are.

We cannot even begin to imagine the terror and confusion these poor babies were put through. There should have been a better way.

I'm curious if these kids all shared a room before that day. Maybe she recognizes their cries.🤷

Why do they dress those kids like Nanook of the North? You can see how some of them are sweating profusely.

They need to put the kids in a big room and let them play with each other and let the parents play with them not just hand them over to someone they not know 😢

Distraction with toys or bubbles or a picture book helps. Children relate to play

I agree, but when we left the airport in Beijing that morning we were told we would meet our daughters the next morning. When we arrived in Nanchang airport, as we boarded transfers we were told that "our babies are on the way to the hotel." Our bags were taken to our rooms and we never had access to them until later, so we only had with us what we'd carried on. We would've been much more prepared otherwise.

They are both beautiful! Thank you for sharing the videos of your special day. Are Sadie & Bailey from the same province? Was the time frame very different for the adoption of one vs the other (orphanage vs foster home)? Would you mind telling me if they were on the waiting child / special needs list or regular list?

Sadie is from Jiangxi and was adopted in 2005. Bailey is from Hubei and was adopted in 2006. After adopting Sadie we knew we'd return for a second adoption but didn't realize it would be so soon (15 months later). Bailey was on a special needs list when we first saw her. She had an angioma under her armpit, which has since gone away. Sadie was in an orphanage in TaiHe (3 hours from Nanchang) and Bailey was with a foster family in Xiaogan City (about an hour from Wuhan). They are both amazing little girls!

Poor dad looks tense. This must be so hard unless the child just falls into your arms happy which is only about 30%
