Hello my K-fooders!🤗🇰🇷
Today I present to you a secret of Korean cuisine with my recipe for Saenggang-Cheong, Korean ginger confit.
For more than two years I have been sharing basic recipes of Korean cuisine with you, but I think that now I can present you recipes that are less known to foreigners but which make the richness of Korean gastronomy. The first example is this candied ginger!🤩
Cheong are a family of candied fruits or vegetables traditionally used in cooking. Saenggang-Cheong is one of the most common because it is consumed as a drink or as a cooking ingredient!
Put it in a dish that usually contains ginger and a sweet element and the taste of your dish will explode!
It is also a basic ingredient for a long-lasting secret sauce that I will present to you soon.🤭
It can also be used to prepare kimchi for example and many marinades.😃
In drink, it is a tonic that warms and strengthens immunity. This is especially useful in the winter! It's a bit like mulled wine (without alcohol).🍵
Tell me in the comments if you like these cooking secrets and don't forget to share the video around you!
