Wow Lacee, you made an entire rug with jute. I'm super impressed. I wouldn't have even thought to do that despite my long ago macrame days :) Nice job!!!

I love jute projects. I think I am more boho than farm house! Thank you. Amazing project done for a whole lot less. I love that I now have time to craft. I spent years looking at things and not buying because I knew I could make them for a whole lot less. Now you gals have you tube Chanel’s to inspire. Love it. ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks, you could skip the crocheting if you used a thick jute rope, just a thought. I was doing the challenge so wanted it to look just like the inspiration piece that's why I did the crochet on thin twine.

That is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! You did an EXCELLENT job. I believe that sewing it with some upholstery thread as you made each row (just like you glued it) would give you the option of using it year round. Of course you can always go back and stitch it to reinforce it as times goes on, too!

I just made this rug and it came out fantastic. Everyone loves it very much. However, I used Hobby Lobby All Natural Cord, 3-ply, 4.5mm thick rather than the jute as was used here in the video. It was so easy to make and assemble. Thank you for your explicit instructions. If I could, I wish I could include a photo copy of mine

Hi Michelle, sorry it took this long to get back to you.I already had my jute. It came from Hobby Lobby 50% off. They still sell it but you need to use a coupon and it would only be 40% off unless you catch it on their 50 % off sale day. I used 2 900ft bundles with about 28% of one left :)

Hi Jessica, thanks for the info. My jute twine came from Hobby Lobby 50% off a while back. They still sell it and if it's not on sale then you can use a 40% off coupon for it just keep in mind you'd need two 900ft bundles :)

It’s beautiful!!! I’ve been looking to purchase one but after your video I’m inspired! Plz tell me where you got the jute, I can’t find anything close to that size without paying close to $80 dollars! Also, I may have missed it but what size of hook did you use? I’m a fan, yep I am!

Could you possibly seal it some how maybe on the back? That way you would not have to worry about that melting the glue. Maybe even find something that would be rubbery so it would not move around. Love the rug!
@LaceesSpace
4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Sheryl, I made it for fall so I'm not worried about the melting. But if someone wanted to use it year round I suggest sewing it. And it doesn't slide on my outdoor thin carpet or the concrete, it's pretty heavy :)
