Brilliant video - thanks for posting this I'm new to Laravel as of 10 but was using my own scripts to backup within docker containers but this is a great find There is one thing you cannot have enough of, that is backups ! Another reassuring thing I think about Laravel tools like this is the multi-language coverage - which says to me that many people are using and supporting this all over the world. Excellent video, thanks again

Once project is deployed on prod and we have crucial data to which we can't risk to loose, then backup strategy is necessary. This video is really helpfull. I will definitely implement this. Great content!

Hey there! really BIG help! but do you have a video of what you said at the last part, about making a backup scheduler? we really need it badly because we have a thesis defense very soon TwT

No, I haven't made any video for that. But, it is simple, you can create a scheduler in your application and you can set the backup inside that. Let's suppose, you have created a command for scheduling the backup as 'backup'. So, you can set the execution as below. protected function schedule(Schedule $schedule) { $schedule->command('backup:run') ->dailyAt('01:00'); // Run a backup daily at 1:00 AM }

@programmingfields
Ай бұрын
@shahidhsalarzai You will have to follow the below steps in order to achieve this using Spatie. 1. Configure the backup settings in the backup.php configuration file. 2. Create a backup using a route or command. 3. Upload the SQL file using a form in your application. 4. Create a controller method to handle SQL file upload and restoration. 5. Use DB::unprepared() to execute the SQL commands and restore the database. 6. Handle validation for the uploaded file (e.g., file size, type).
