Great content gents! Very timely for us as well as we’ve just got a couple of new jackets for the season. We defo have a few old ones to check over, so thank you for the tips!

Thanks for a really interesting video guys! It's amazing to see how much goes into making a life jacket work, but also how simple it is. Looks like your both loving the boat life. Good on you both! x

Just a mention as both of you know who I am involved with is cold water shock it is a killer, its your bodys natural instinct when you get in cold water is to gasp and that's when you take in water, if anyone has even taken in a bit of water you should get checked out at A+E because you can get secondary drowning. In a nutshell it's when you have taken on sea water and your bodys natural defence is to flush it out but its actually filling your lung with defence water etc. Hope this was helpful and feel free to share xxx

Thanks Andy, great advice, something many people don’t think about. I did a sea survival course a few years ago which went into detail about cold water shock and we had to get on a life raft in a swimming pool with all our clothes on , thankfully not in freezing water. Hope all is going well on the coastguards. Xxx
