Alright, finally an operator who prefers the big chunks instead of the one crumb at a time crap! Give this man a raise!!!

I am surprised that relatively small wrecking ball was able to break steel beams. Normally these use a sniping tool for that.

The building was constructed of precast prestressed concrete Double "T" castings. Easy work for a wrecking ball.

Ball and chain, for demolitions? I remember that system from the fifties, when they demolished air raid shelters built in the Second World War.

Cheapest. Just replace the cable and the ball rarely needs fixing. Saves a high pressure hydraulic system on the arm and claws of the newer ones.

I guess they didn't bother to clean out the building completely? It looks like some furniture, the carpets, and the glass are still in place. Is it cheaper to just tear the whole thing down without removing them? Some of those things could still be salvaged, especially the glass.

Salut.

A wrecking ball. Mercilessly destroys this hotel every room of this hotel turns to dust It would be much more spectacular to blow up this hotel as they do with old hotels in Las Vegas and to demolish it with a wrecking ball is somehow boring but on the one hand the wrecking ball demolishes buildings mercilessly

@@fitalittlebittv8667 The whole east side is full of abandoned houses, part of the west & south side. They're tearing down one of the old GM plants right now. All of the hotels in Buena Vista are abandoned. The only functioning part is Birch Run, Freeland & Frankenmuth. The Fashion Square Mall looks like a ghost town. Where's in Detroit, it's rebuilding
