Saguaro National Park is located in Sonoran Desert and consists of two separate areas, the Tucson Mountain District (west) and the Rincon Mountain District (east). On its trails you can see many amazing desert plants, including giant saguaro cacti (Carnegiea gigantea), teddybear chollas (Opuntia bigelovii), chainfruit chollas (Opuntia fulgida), staghorn chollas (Opuntia versicolor), ocottilos (Fouquieria splendens) with red blossom, a barrel cactus (Ferocactus wislizenii) with fruits, blue palo verde trees (Cercidium floridum) and preakly pear cacti (Opuntia engelmannii) - all captured in this video. Most of the filmed hike goes along the Hugh Norris Trail, which is among the best in the west section of the park. The right cactus on the thumbnail is over 26 feet (8 m) tall, and it took it over 100 years to reach that height.
