loved it, but was it necessary to destroy the divine lotus to offer it to the lake
@hreem
3 жыл бұрын
It is a lotus which was collected as a sample with proper regeneration leaving the surrounding plants intact. Plants are never collected from isolation only where roots are abundant. It is a method to offer it to the lake as ritual. This is also a part of lesser traditions to make people aware of the plant and prevent its picking. This is thing which has been ingrained in the culture as biodiversity . I appreciate your concern,

Thank you Dr. Kesarkar for the nice blog. I enjoy your blogs. Your video helped us plan our trek to Shasratal. We trekked to it from 29th Sept to 8th Oct recently (Mumbai to Mumbai) and had the divine vision of a beautifully Blue Shasratal on Oct 5. We offered Brahmakamals and felt such peace there. Our night halts were at Uttarkashi / Gairi/ Kush Kalyani / Bhowani Bugyal/ Kyarki Bugyal/ Pandavsera (2 nights so as to trek to Sahasratal), Kush Kalyani/ Budh Kedar visit and night at Rishikesh. We started our trek from Silla and dropped down at Pinswad to also visit Budh Kedar. Wonderful experience. Very offbeat trek.

@@prafulpoduval6245 Namaste. No we didn't go with any trek group or agency because it was part of my hometown district. So we had some local contacts. We just took few locals along with us who were from that particular area and was familiar with that surrounding. It took 5 days for us but depending on speed and unfavorable climatic conditions you have to take atleast 6-7days . It is total 70-75 km long trek and our total expenditure was about 30 thousand (for total 8-10 of us) .

Nowadays exploring Uttarakhand hidden villages and unexplored placea with a tent. Let me know if u wanna join any day, anywhere because being with same minded people is good. Recently I experienced night camping at goa, karnataka and uttrakhand and i enjoyed a lot. I camped at dance forest, lake side, sea side, riverside, road side and rooftop also. I have been there. Close to 5k meters. Big boulders, beautiful herbs and tiny streams. Beautiful place. A place nearby is kush kalyan bugyal (meadow), also very beautiful. You can go to khatling glacier from sahasratal. The buffalo skull near kyarki bugyal was there even ten years ago atop same rock. I have also trekked on the route to kedarnath explained by that Mahesh rawat guy. It also has a beautiful but tough to climb meadow called pawali bugyal, a very beautiful place.

Ticket counter open up at 4 in morning and ticket charge around 300~400. You’ll reach there by afternoon. Bus will go from Chamba, Dobra, Lamb gaun, Dhauntri and then Kamad.

Trying to remember, we could not camp at Sahastra tal, and had to return back to the camp we spent the previous night. We went via Malla. So it felt more difficult than this route.
